Genesis: The Life of Abraham

Join us as we dive into the book of Genesis, taking a look at the life of Abraham- the man that God chose to be the father of many nations for His glory.

June 27 | 10AM | McHugh Creek

A gathering at McHugh Creek Park! We’ll gather in the picnic pavilion area creekside (off the upper parking area) and start with a short devotional, have time for a walk/hike or hang out to play games/chat. Then, we’ll have lunch together followed by more free time to foster community! Hopefully we will do all this in the sunshine! ☀️ 😁

This is a come/go as you please activity but here is the general schedule so you can plan accordingly:
10:15am: devotional
10:30am: free time to group hike/walk or hang out to play games/chat
12:30pm: lunch provided

Please bring a camp chair and whatever gear you would like for hiking (bear spray encouraged).

The church will provide lunch; hotdogs/sausages, chips, cutie oranges, and bottles of water. If you would like to bring something additional to share, please do! Please keep it to finger-type foods as we are attempting to keep paper products to a minimum (code for: we aren’t bringing silverware 😆).

PARKING: The parking lot here does require either a state park pass or a $5 day use fee. We can coordinate carpooling from the church if people are interested. Otherwise, come prepared for that cost please. Park in the lower lot & walk up to the picnic area. We will have greeters in the lower parking lot who can provide a ride for anyone who has mobility issues and doesn’t want to walk the hill. Please arrive by 10:10 at the latest if you will need a ride up the hill as the greeters will be headed up to join the group in time for the devotional.

IMPORTANT: Please rsvp to this event if you plan to be there for lunch. We want to make sure we have the right amount of food!

We are so excited to kick off the summer with Vacation Bible School! Kids ages 4 years old-5th grade are invited to join us for a week of unforgettable fun and learning.
Spaces are limited, so register your children as soon as possible using the ticket link! This is a free event. We can't wait to see you!
